St. Charles Community College is offering a great variety of summer camps and classes for ages 5 – 17. Camp and class options include theater, superheroes, dance camp, filmmaking, science, fashion design, art, Minecraft design, Lego robotic engineering, cooking and much more. Safety Town is a one-week program organized by the Cottleville Police Department for children entering Kindergarten or 1st grade in the upcoming school year. Safety Town is a child-sized town offering hands-on safety education for young children. Safety Town will teach kids about pedestrian and cycling safety, water safety, fire safety, how to call 911, what to do if you are lost and more. You must register by June 18th. Greater St. Louis Area Activities
In honor of St. Louis’ 250th anniversary, 250 cake sculptures will be placed throughout the St. Louis area. You can click on the link above to get location information on the cakes that have already been placed. St. Charles County cake sites include Lewis & Clark Boat House, St. Charles Old County Courthouse, Lindenwood University, Ft. Zumwalt Park, Centennial Greenway on the Katy Trail, St. Charles County Heritage Museum, First Missouri State Capitol Historic Site and the Shrine of Rose Philippine Duchesne. Local families are taking this opportunity to tour areas of St. Louis and St. Charles County to take pictures of the cake sculptures and explore areas they haven’t visited before.
